Kindred is setting an ambitious goal. The online gambling operator doesn’t want any of its revenue to come from harmful gambling by 2023. As part of its commitment, the company partnered with Assissa Consultancy Europe and Zafty Intelligence to launch the Bettor Time app.
The app will assist users in monitoring their gambling habits, analyzing app usage, and alerting users to any potentially harmful changes in playing time and spending. Bettor Time can be set up to monitor the use of all gambling apps regardless of the operator.
With help from the app’s many features, users are able to set up daily limits and even block betting apps altogether at a specified time if needed.
“For us, promoting the Bettor Time App is a given, and it is in line with our commitment of 0% revenue from harmful gambling by 2023,” said Kindred Group’s Head of Responsible Gaming and Research Maris Catania. “The technology behind this app with Zafty’s unique machine learning algorithms that take the recorded activity and learn each user’s normal behaviour is very interesting. This app can help users make better-informed decisions about their gambling. We are proud to promote this app, and I recommend other operators to follow.”
Kindred is the first operator to publicly announce that 4.31% of revenue earned came from high-risk players.
Zafty Intelligence, a behavioural intelligence company, is responsible for developing the new app, while Kindred Group came on board as an early partner. The move follows commitments made by the company’s Chief Executive Henrik Tjärnström back in March 2019, when he pledged to stop generating revenue from risky gambling.
Our team recommends registering only at websites that promote responsible gaming while searching for the best online betting venue. This is as important as finding the best odds or a variety of sports to include on your betting slip.
